Mission Athletic Fund and Foundation
The Mission Athletic Fund and Foundation is the new name of the former Boosters; but don't worry. The organization is still committed to athletics and extra curricular activities for both Old Mission School and Mission College Preparatory. Although we are associated with each school, the Mission Athletic Fund and Foundation is a standalone 501(c)(3). In other words, we collect revenue from our membership, sponsors and donors and we allocate those revenues directly to projects, events and needs at each school. We are continually speaking with coaches, athletic directors and other school leaders on what projects we can help, both short and long term projects. In the immediate future, we have identified the projects listed below.
- co-ed weight room - in an effort to make sure that our student athletes are as prepared as possible, the need has been identified for a renovated space, complete with new machines and weights.
- scholarships - the 'Foundation' portion of the organization is always working with the each school to better assess what role we can play, along with our donors, to make educating existing and new students more affordable.
- school spirit -from extra game day gear for athletes to rooter busses for away CIF games, the Athletic Fund wants to be there for the schools! Go Royals! Go Falcons!
